THE HIP HOPTIMISTS

Me and my buddy Captain Franco, who you can see DJing rap with me at Halfway Crooks each month, have started an ALL NEW podcast where we discuss the biggest releases in rap each month.

It’s called The Hip Hoptimists.

We recorded the first episode in my living room on Sunday and man is it way too easy to talk about rap! What I imagined to be a half hour long podcast broke the hour mark! Listening back though I think it’s pretty entertaining and as our first attempt at podcasting I’m happy with it, at the very least it’s the start of something awesome.

The albums we talk about in the first episode are Watch The Throne by Jay-Z and Kanye West, Ferrari Boyz by Gucci Mane and Waka Flocka Flame, Game’s The R.E.D. Album and Lil’ Wayne’s The Carter IV. You might wanna try listen to them before you listen to our podcast but I think we do a reasonable job of explaining each release with a little bit of background.

Check out our new site and please subscribe to The Hip Hoptimists! We’re gonna try put out a new episode in the first week of each month that looks at the month in rap that preceded it. Pretty fancy!

Also please shoot through feedback about the first episode, maybe some albums you’d like us to look at next month, some hilarious segment ideas, we’re all ears. Follow us on Twitter too!
