I played at Splendour In The Grass on the weekend with Halfway Crooks. In between watching Outkast play the most perfect set ever and eating 50 organic donuts (how the fuck are they that good?), I managed to ruin 30 photos – making this the first proper photobomb gallery I’ve done since 2011! Enjoy!
Stop the fucking press! I just remembered some photobombs from last year that I never put up! Maybe you were lucky enough to catch these on Two Thousand last year. The visionary Hayley Morgan took them on the last day of Splendour In The Grass 2013.
I’m gonna be at Splendour again tomorrow, DJing on the Smirnoff stage with my Halfway Crooks buds Franco, Elston, Ezzy and Joyride. Might ruin a few photos while I’m up there too.
All my old photobombs can be found here.
One crushing piece of feedback that I keep getting is that there aren’t enough photos of me in the book! To help rectify this situation I have put together this sheet of stickers of me for you to photobomb all your favourite recipes with!
The stickers are free when you buy a copy of Diner from The Dip. The stickers will also be coming away with me on tour at my launch parties in Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Adelaide! Those dates will be announced in the next few days!
The other night I was stopped at Goodgod by a dude with them short dreads and he asked “hey are you that photobomber guy?” “Why yes I am” was my reply, and to it he added “you totally photobombed me at Splendour!”
“What a fucking gamechanger” I thought with italics, it was the young fellow you can see on the phone above. And if you look below you can see us re-stage the Splendour photobomb in all its double phone glory.
Also it got the more recent essential photobomb addition – PIT STAINS.
Dan Boud of Boudist took my picture for this month’s Time Out Sydney. Ever the smarty pants, Dan thought it would be a cool idea to have me photobombing my own photo. I obliged and some magic (and photoshop) went down.
You can read what Dan had to say about the shoot here. Thanks to him, and to Myffy of Time Out for awarding my hot dog 2nd place in her countdown of the best dawgs in Sydney. Come eat one at The Dip some time!
Photos taken by Patrick Stevenson at Flood Aid.
Photos taken by Patrick Stevenson, who didn’t have the drunken swagger required to take more than 2 bombs. Lucky for everyone there’s five music festivals on every day for the next 3 months.
Photos taken at The Greengate ‘Annual Xmas Eve Bash’ by the fuckin master Patrick Stevenson.
These were all taken while I was on tour with the Stereosonic Festival.
